Okay so without going in to too much detail about this whole ordeal I have a question about being followed while being on workers comp. My mother who was hurt November of 2010 at work filed all nessesary paper work and continued to work as she kept getting misdiagnosed. After a couple month in pain she was finally diagnosed with a tear in her shoulder muscle and a detached bicep tendon. After surgery in April of 2011 and weeks of therapy she was told she could go back to work in August. After three or so days of work she re-injured herself because she was truly not ready to go back (therapy and another doctor agreed). She has been going to therapy and as she comes to find out the surgeon misdiagnosed her when she re-injured herself , as shown by reports and another doctor—who the comp people actually sent her too. — So anyway with all those details….

She find out someone is following her, she went to court once and they told the judge what they had found, which was nothing really. They wanted to settle with her, but because she does not know what the state of her shoulder is in now and in the future her lawyer ( YES SHE HAS ONE) advised her to visit the doctor again next month on her appt date before the accept or go to court. Anyway today she went to her boyfriend realestate/tax office to help him answer some phones, which she does sometimes. She has been released by doctors to do 8hour sedentary work and answer phones, her previous employer however has not found a job for her. She is usually an LPN. A man who did not introduce himself walked in to the office and asked one of the men there question about her, he was rather disheveled and actually made a pretty gross mess in the bathroom and the bathroom floor while there. After asking my mother and her boyfriend some strange questions he finally left. He then passed the office a couple more times and sat on a road watching the office. They tried to find him in the car but the windows were too tinted to see him there but after about 2 minutes the car was gone.

Because my mother has a lawyer was it against the law to approach my mother and ask her questions, posing as someone who wanted to buy a house and have his taxes lowered.

sorry this is so long I just can’t find much on the laws for PI’s and comp laws.
She did contact her lawyer he seemed unconcerned, which worries me. Also she was afraid that it was some nut following her. Especially because of the mess he made in the bathroom and the intense interest he had in her.
Why shouldn’t she be "working" she is not getting paid and she is able according to her doctor to sit for 8 hours and answer phone? So if she’s cleared to do that why couldn’t she do it there if she could do it at her normal place of employment if they would have found a position for her?

My dad used to moonlight as a work comp investigator. Yes they can follow you around and photograph you when you are out in public. They can even talk to you.

If your mother is on work comp the insurance company is paying her to rest up or go to therapy. NOT to do volunteer work, regardless of whether she could do it at her job or not. She can sit on her front porch and talk on the phone all day. She cannot play receptionist in a business.

She could easily lose her WC benefits AND her job

Or are there any other jobs that I can get into with a real estate license

i have been selling timeshares for almost 4 years now. money is ok. however, everyone i know who sells real estate makes more money. the cons…u have to ride around all day showing homes. with timeshares, i just sit at my desk from home and sell from the internet. also, commercial real estate is big money too. gd luck

I went to a house viewing today with my dog Zac (4yr old maltese x terrier) to show the realestate that he is really well behaved, shortly after arriving the Real estate lady informed me that a dog had died of parvo on the property I immediately picked him up and refused to see the inside of the house. He is showing no signs as of yet of parvo, However he did come into contact with the infected property. He has had his parvo shot in the last year, there was a large black dog next door that seemed fine. Is it possible that he wont contract the virus ???

It is highly possible that he won’t considering he had his shot and he is not a puppy anymore but if you really want to make shure you could take him to the vet and have them give him the parvo test

Age:

Thank you!
Jones Collins

100% scam.

There is no job.

There is only a scammer trying to steal your hard-earned money and maybe your freedom.

The next email will be from another of the scammer’s fake names and free email addresses pretending to be the "assistant" and will demand you accept packages purchased with stolen credit cards, hi-jacked paypal accounts and spoofed bank transfers, at YOUR home address. Then you are suppose to use a stolen UPS/FedEx billing account number to send the electronics, clothing and jewelry overseas. When the websites, credit card/paypal/bank account owners and UPS/FedEx discover the fraud, you get the real life job of paying back ALL of them. Then the local law enforcement comes knocking asking why are you fencing stolen merchandise for someone you never met, don’t know their real life name and have no idea in what country they really live.

Another email will be from the scammer and will demand you cash a large fake check sent on a stolen UPS/FedEx billing account number and send most of the money via Western Union or moneygram back to the scammer posing as the "supply company" while you "keep" a portion of the cash. When your bank realizes the check is fake and it bounces, you get the real life job of paying back the bank for the bounced check fees and all the bank’s money you sent to an overseas criminal.

Western Union and moneygram do not verify anything on the form the sender fills out, not the name, not the street address, not the country, not even the gender of the receiver, it all means absolutely nothing. The clerk will not bother to check ID and will simply hand off your cash to whomever walks in the door with the MTCN# and question/answer. Neither company will tell the sender who picked up the cash, at what store location or even in what country your money walked out the door. Neither company has any kind of refund policy, money sent is money gone forever.

Now that you have responded to a scammer, you are on his ‘potential sucker’ list, he will try again to separate you from your cash. He will send you more emails from his other free email addresses using another of his fake names with all kinds of stories of being the perfect buyer, great jobs, lottery winnings, millions in the bank and desperate, lonely, sexy singles. He will sell your email address to all his scamming buddies who will also send you dozens of fake emails all with the exact same goal, you sending them your cash via Western Union or moneygram.

You could post up the email address and the emails themselves that the scammer is using, it will help make your post more googlable for other suspicious potential victims to find when looking for information.

Do you know how to check the header of a received email? If not, you could google for information. Being able to read the header to determine the geographic location an email originated from will help you weed out the most obvious scams and scammers. Then delete and block that scammer. Don’t bother to tell him that you know he is a scammer, it isn’t worth your effort. He has one job in life, convincing victims to send him their hard-earned cash.

Whenever suspicious or just plain curious, google everything, website addresses, names used, companies mentioned, phone numbers given, all email addresses, even sentences from the emails as you might be unpleasantly surprised at what you find already posted online. You can also post/ask here and every scam-warner-anti-fraud-busting site you can find before taking a chance and losing money to a scammer.

6 "Rules to follow" to avoid most fake jobs:
1) Job asks you to use your personal bank account and/or open a new one.
2) Job asks you to print/mail/cash a check or money order.
3) Job asks you to use Western Union or moneygram in any capacity.
4) Job asks you to accept packages and re-ship them on to anyone.
5) Job asks you to pay visas, travel fees via Western Union or moneygram.
6) Job asks you to sign up for a credit reporting or identity verification site.

Avoiding all jobs that mention any of the above listed ‘red flags’ and you will miss nearly all fake jobs. Only scammers ask you to do any of the above. No. Exceptions. Ever. For any reason.

If you google "fake re-shipping job", "fraud money mule scam", or something similar you will find hundreds of posts from victims and near victims of this type of scam.

You need to convince the bank that they aren’t going to lose their money. In other words, whats your business plan, experience, money down, etc. You can’t just say give me a million dollars and they will happily hand it to you.

@Right! Of course that complaint comes first.

Where’s the helicopter? Along with it, where’s my fix?

Those homes aren’t that great, trust me on this.

-it’s been awhile since I’ve seen a home that just says oooooh. I’m more interested in Panamanian retirement beach houses myself. Less upkeep, good views and cheap labor.

Paraguay and Argentina also have some nice real estate. I’d have to stay out of the metro area’s myself with condos going for 500k and up. Who wants to live in a 500 sq. ft apartment in a large city for 500k?
Not me.

LESS TAXES though. That’s what it’s about. Less taxes.

It seems kind of sketchy to me, but let me know if it seems like that to you too. I don’t want to get involved in some crazy scam.

Then the local law enforcement comes knocking asking why are you fencing stolen merchandise for someone you never met, don’t know their real life name and have no idea even what country they really live in.

You could post up the email address that the scammer is using, it will help make your post more googlable for other suspicious potential victims to find when looking for information.

I was living at a property 1 year ago, and 3 weeks before I was going to move the hot water system busted and water was poring out, so I had to turn the mains off. It took 4 days for the real estate to get it repaired, and the person who repaired it said that it needed to be replaced as he could only fix it temperarily, any way that only lasted 4 days before it broke again. The landlord wanted to try and fix it himself but we declined as it involved gas and only a licenced plumber is allowed to fix it.
Moving on the last 2 weeks of our tenancy we had no water at all and when we moved out the landlord and realestate wanted compensation as we were unable to get the carpets cleaned or wash the walls. They were only awarded $100 yay.
Moving onto today I have been applying for rental properties and that realestate is saying that they needed to take us to court to be compensated because of how the property was left…. they are not mentioning anything else. Now myself and my 3 children will be homeless in 3 days time as no real estate wants a bar of us. Should I sue please help
sorry I live in Melbourne Australia if that helps and I am a great tenant who keeps there house very clean and I always pay the rent on time
thank you for the answers do far but by what they are saying they are putting us in a bad light, as tenants we did nothing wrong and now we cant get a reantal property, it was not our fault that we had no water and we were great tenants, but they only mention the negitive things so it is not the whole truth. We offered the real estate apon vacating a pre paid voucher for the carpets to get cleaned, when we vacated but they declinded. I feel that we did everythng right and now we cant rent again!
They do not say that we always paid our rent and that due to the curcumstances it was imposable to get the carpets cleaned. By the way when we went to the tribunal the judge soent 15 minutes yelling at the real estate for doing the wrong thing and not fixing the water. In a seperate hearing we were compensated $1000 for not having running water, ontop of all of this while we were renting there was a flood in the kitchen so the kitchen was ripped up for 6 weeks and was un usable.
thanks

Sue them for what?

Telling the truth about you? You can not sue them for not lying on your behalf.

They did have to take you to court and they did win.
