I have a realtor that said they could sale my home for 5% and then another for 4%. Is there anything else that I can get a realtor to come down on, that will benefit me on my return?
4% is probably the cheapest you can get with traditional listing broker arrangement. I think it’s pretty good. Basically, 3% goes to the broker who brings in the buyer and the remaining stays with the listing broker. If you want, you can find a help-u-sell or some other self sell real estate service in your area who provides with flat fee, multiple listing service access and signs. You will need to do your open house and showings. If the market is good in your area, with or without the listing broker, your house can be sold.
What is the lowest Percent that a realtor can do?
Do most Commercial Realtors make more than Realtors specializing in Residential properties?
I’ve been a Realtor for about 4 years, selling only residential properties. I enjoy the investment side of real estate more and I really think I’d enjoy working in commercial real estate. On average, do Commercial realtors make more than residential? I live in a decent size city with a lot of commercial property.
Thanks!
No. More residential properties than commercial makes more consistent opportunities in residential. Commercial may have a better commission. Do both.
Do real estates know if their selling you a haunted house?
just wondering because don’t they do reasearch on the house?
I don’t think they could reveal if it was haunted. How do they really know if they haven’t lived there. Some people swear the Amityville Horror house is haunted and the people living there at the moment swear it isn’t.
I thought if you asked if anyone died there that they would have to reveal it, if they knew. Back to the Amityville, the Lutz’s bought it not knowing that 6 people had been murdered there. In that case I think it should’ve been revealed, but it’s not a law you have to tell them, unless you ask. Don’t know if this is true in all states either.

My landlord (who is also a realtor) has not returned my deposit. What should I do?
I have filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau, but she has closed her realty company. She now works for Century 21. My father ran into her two weeks ago and she told him that she was sending the deposit to me (I moved out of state). My fiance called her today and she told him that she was not giving us our deposit because of how we acted before we left. Back story– Our lease ended on April 14th. She asked us if we would pay a full months rent ($800.00), and then when she sent us our deposit she would also send the prorated rent amount (so she would send us a total of $1200.00). This sounded stranged to me so I told her that I would only pay the prorated amount ($400.00) per our lease agreement. The lease states that she must return my deposit within 30 days. It has been 40. I have pictures of the place before we moved in and after we moved out. We paid our rent on time every month.
A landlord cannot keep your deposit because they did not like you or your attitude. It sounds like you will have to take her to court to get your money back. You may want to check out this link in which you can ask laywers for answers to legal questions online. It is free to ask questions.

real estate question. making an offer.?
the house we were looking at was at $129900( it was on the market for 6 months). when we went to see the house last weekend it dropped down to 125k. we made an off of 125k and they cover closing costs. it’s been a couple of days. i asked the realestate agent about the offer . she said they are think about it. so today i was thinking can i offer to buy at 128k and get $1500 at closing and the rest of the other half of the $1500 to help them cover some of the closing cost?
it’s not a short sale and not a Foreclosure.
dallas – ft. worth area
If they are thinking about it, let them think. Do not go back and re write the offer. Let them come to you. The first person who makes the move after an offer is the person with the power. They may have been out of the town a few days…and only got it yesterday…If it has been on the market six months the Realtor, if she/he is a quality realtor will let you know another offer has been received.
Patience may save you some money.
